‘Will continue to stand with farmers’: Rahul Gandhi leads Congress protest in Delhi

Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi on Friday led the party’s protest in the national capital in solidarity with the farmers and demanded immediate repeal of farm laws.

“Shri @RahulGandhi & Smt. @priyankagandhi join Delhi Congress workers on their march to LG’s house as part of the Kisan Adhikar Divas,” Congress tweeted.

“Nothing will deter the Congress party in our fight to save our farmers. We must stand together, united in our efforts and with a singular focus, save our farmers from this power hungry & greedy govt,” the party added.

Rahul Gandhi said, “I am very proud of what our farmers are doing and I fully support the farmers and I will continue to stand with them.”

“The farm laws have been brought to finish the farmers. If we don’t stop this now, it will continue to happen in other sectors too,” Rahul added.

The protests have come on a day when the government is holding the ninth round of talks with leaders of farm unions.

Farmers have been protesting since November 26, against the Centre’s three farm laws at various border points of Delhi.
