Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed grief over the loss of lives in a road accident in Karnataka’s Dharwad district.
“Saddened by the loss of lives due to a road accident in Karnataka’s Dharwad district. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. I pray for a quick recovery of those injured,” the Prime Minister’s office tweeted.
Eleven people were killed in a road accident near Itigatti village in Karnataka’s Dharwad district on Friday.
According to the reports, the minibus collided with a truck coming from the opposite side.
10 women passengers and the driver of the minibus died in the accident and some other people, who were injured in the mishap were taken to a hospital for further treatment, police said.
