Sonia Gandhi praises frontline workers in fight against COVID-19

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation, Congress President Sonia Gandhi in her video message on Tuesday thanked people for adhering to the lockdown despite problems.

She praised frontline workers in fight against the COVID-19 – doctors, sanitation workers, policemen. She urged people to stay inside their homes and follow lockdown and social distancing norms.

She also reprimanded people for the attacks on doctors. However, the Congress president thanked people who are helping people in need.

“There is no greater “patriotism” than the persistence of warriors including doctors, scavengers, police in the Corona crisis. We will defeat Corona with a sense of unity, discipline and self-confidence,” Sonia Gandhi said.

COVID-19 cases in India has crossed 10000 mark while over 300 people have lost their lives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 10 am as the coronavirus lockdown ends today.
