Seema Singal is recently in Delhi as his company Harven realtors is the title sponsor of fifth edition of Pro Tennis League [ PTL ] to be held in R.K Khanna stadium in Delhi, from 7-10 December, 2023. Tehelka had an exclusive conversation with Seema Singal, regarding PTL, IPL Cricket and his Real Estate firm, Harven. The unedited excerpts of the Interview are given below.
Reporter- Why are you sponsoring this PTL league ?
Seema– From the very beginning, I have been health freak person and getting associated with sports promoting in our country is a privilege in itself. Sponsoring PTL came as a natural fit for Harven that values both corporate success and community commitment. So, we as Harven are very proud to say that we are associated with PTL and we are going to take this relationship forward in the coming years.
Reporter- Cricket is a religion in India. So why not cricket why Lawn Tennis ?
Seema- Tennis is as popular in the world so why not tennis, why cricket. Moreover, Tennis is an incredible mental sport besides requiring explosive strength.
Reporter- How you are going to promote lawn tennis in India ? Any Plans ?
Seema- We are already promoting Lawn Tennis in India by being associated with 5th season of PTL and we look forward to a long-term association in various formats. Our main goal in collaborating with PTL is to encourage future athletes to follow their aspirations while also aiding in the development of Lawn Tennis to become a mass sport. We also anticipate PTL reaching new height in Dubai soon with Harven’s association.
Reporter- How frequently you are planning to hold tennis league in India. ?
Seema-That is something need to be discussed with the people and the director. But you will definitely see more PTL and sports coming up.
Reporter- How many teams are participating in this Tennis League ?
Seema-There are eight teams participating in this league.
Reporter- So as a sponsor what you are hoping from this league ?
Seema-I am hoping for a great tournament and good players coming up. And for Harven a great relationship and a 100% business.
Reporter- Any plan of sponsoring Indian Premier League [IPL ] Cricket in the future ?
Seema- PTL will be sponsored in Dubai very soon. We are planning to take teams there. No plan of sponsoring IPL at the moment. But if any proposal come, we are open for that, ready to spread our wings in any directions. Right now we are completely with lawn tennis. Prima facie I am very happy in sponsoring PTL.
