A Pakistani intruder was shot dead by the BSF along the International Border (IB) in Punjab, an official said on Friday.
The BSF personnel noticed suspicious activity near the border fence on Thursday night.
Sensing imminent threat, troops shot him dead, the official said.
BSF Punjab in a tweet said, “#Gurdaspur KILLING OF PAK INTRUDER Alert Seema Praharies of BOP Kotrazda & Wadhaicheema, 73 Bn #BSF detected suspicious movement of Pak intruder ahead of fence inside Indian territory. Sensing imminent threat, BSF troops fired & shot dead 1 Pak intruder.”
