Opposition parties laud IAF action for striking terror camps, condemns Pakistan for misadventure

The leaders of 21 opposition parties on Wednesday lauded Indian Air Force action against the terror camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and praised the armed forces for their valour and bravery.

In a joint statement issued by the opposition parties, “the leaders of political leaders condemned the Pulwama terror attack and paid homage to martyrs and expressed solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces in crushing the menace of terrorism.”

They, however, blamed the ruling party of politicizing the sacrifices of armed forces.

Reading out a joint statement, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said the meeting also condemned Pakistan’s misadventure and expressed deep concern for the safety of the missing Indian pilot. He said the parties have urged the government to take the nation into confidence on all measures to protect India’s sovereignty, unity and integrity.

“The leaders observed that the PM Modi has regrettably not convened an all-party meeting as per the established practice in our democracy,” Rahul added.
