Court allows Robert Vadra to travel abroad for six weeks for medical treatment

A CBI Special Court on Monday allowed Robert Vadra to travel abroad for six weeks for medical treatment.

Vadra has been allowed by the court to travel to the USA and the Netherlands, however, he cannot travel to London.

The court said a look-out circular that had been issued against Vadra will remain suspended during this period.

Vadra’s counsel KTS Tulsi told the court that the businessman will not go to London, if the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had an objection.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and advocate Nitesh Rana, appearing for the ED had opposed Vadra’s plea in which he had sought permission to travel to the UK and other countries citing health reasons.

Vadra is facing allegations of money laundering in purchase of a property in London worth 1.9 million pounds.
