NCP’s Mumbai chief Sachin Ahir joins Shiv Sena

A senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Sachin Ahir joined the Shiv Sena on Thursday, just months before assembly election in Maharashtra.

NCP’s Mumbai president, Ahir joined the Shiv Sena in the presence of party president Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray. Ahir’s joining in Shiv Sena came as a surprise for many in the NCP.

‘In politics, sometimes tough decisions have to be taken,’ Ahir told reporters adding to it, he said he would work towards strengthening the Shiv Sena.

Sachin Ahir was three-term MLA from Worli lost 2014 Assembly polls to Shiv Sena’s Sunil Shinde.
