The next Army Chief of the Indian Army will be Lieutenant General Manoj Mukund Naravane.
In September this year, he took over as Vice Chief of Army Staff. Prior to this, he was the chief of the Eastern Command of the army. Which takes care of India’s nearly 4,000 km border with China.
Since then, he was considered in the race for the next Army Chief. He will now take over after the current General Bipin Rawat. The current Army Chief General Bipin Rawat is retiring on 31 December.
