Amid ongoing tussle with Shiv Sena, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut on Sunday met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
According to sources, Kangana apprised the governor of the ongoing situation.
After the meeting, Ranaut said that she was fortunate that the Governor listened to her like his own daughter. “I hope justice will be given to me so that the faith of all citizens including young girls, is restored in the system,” she added.
The development comes amid an ongoing war of words between Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut and Kangana Ranaut after the latter made remarks that she feels unsafe in Mumbai and has no trust in the Mumbai police after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Besides this, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials on Wednesday demolished various structures which they termed as ‘illegal alterations’ at Ranaut’s Mumbai property, whereas Kangana said that there is no illegal construction. Later the Bombay High Court stayed the demolition drive and asked the BMC to file a reply in this matter and said, “The manner in which BMC proceeded to commence demolition work prima facie does not appear to be bonafide and smacks of malafide.”
On Thursday, High Court adjourned Ranaut’s office demolition matter till September 22 after the actor’s lawyer sought time to respond to the affidavit filed by BMC.
Moreover, Kangana allegedly received threats following which she was provided Y plus security.
