After a massive mahapanchayat in Muzaffarnagar, Haryana farmers now started reaching Karnal on Samyukt Kisan Morcha’s call to gherao mini-secretariat.
The Karnal district administration has invited Samyukt Kisan Morcha’s leaders for talk. Farmers are open to discuss the issue. Therefore, a 11-member delegation of farmer leaders will be going to hold talks with the district administration soon.
The agitators plan to march for 3.5 kms, from the anaj Mandi to the mini-secretariat, to voice their demands.
In view of the call for gherao of Karnal mini secretariat’ given by various farmer organisations as well as the scheduled Kisan Mahapanchayat today.
As many as 40 companies of additional force, including 10 paramilitary, have been deployed at various places in Karnal district to tackle the situation.
To maintain law and order the Haryana government has suspended the mobile internet services in Karnal district from 12.30pm on Monday to 11.59pm on Tuesday (September 7) including SMSs, which will be suspended in four more Haryana districts of Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind and Panipat.
