Fire breaks out in Telangana Express, passengers safe

A fire broke out on Thursday in two coaches of the Hyderabad-New Delhi Telangana Express at a station in Haryana, officials said.

The blaze in the train was reported at around 7.43 am at the Asaoti station.

Fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the blaze, a senior railway official said.

No casualties were reported in the incident.

Train number 12723 was stopped between Asaoti and Ballabgarh due to heavy smoke and flames from wheels of the 9th coach, officials added.

According to the reports, the fire has now been controlled. However, the movement on the track has been stopped.
