India’s coronavirus cases on Tuesday rose to 27,02,743 as 55,079 people have tested Covid-19 positive in a day, according to Health Ministry data.
The death toll climbed to 51,797 with 876 people succumbing to the disease.
Of the total cases, 19,77,780 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 6,73,166 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients stands at 72.51%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Tuesday said a total of 3,09,41,264 samples have been tested up to August 17 of which 8,99,864 samples were tested yesterday.
