BJP set to get new president, JP Nadda likely to take over from Amit Shah today

BJP working president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday is all set to take over the reins of the party from Amit Shah.

Nadda will file his nomination for the post at 10.30 am and is likely to be elected unopposed, party sources said.

Top party leaders are likely to arrive at the BJP headquarters to file nominations in support of Nadda, sources added.

BJP Central Election Committee chief Radha Mohan Singh in a press statement gave out the full schedule.

“After successfully conducting Phase 1 of the BJP enrolment and expansion drive, creating 75 percent booth committees, 50 percent Mandal committees and holding election as per BJP’s constitution in 21 states to elect party presidents, I am pleased to announce the elections for the post of National president of the BJP,” Radha Mohan Singh said.

The nomination process for the post of BJP President will begin at 10 am and will go on till 12.30 pm, sources said.
