India has reported 97,570 new cases of coronavirus and 1,201 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 46,59,984, while the death toll rose to 77,472, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 36,24,196 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 9,58,316 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 77.8%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 5.51 crore samples have been tested up to September 11 of which 10,91,251 samples were tested yesterday.
