India has reported 83,341 new cases of coronavirus and 1,096 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 39,36,747, while the death toll rose to 68,472, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 30,37,151 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 8,31,124 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 77.15%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 4.66 crore samples have been tested up to September 3 of which 11,69,765 samples were tested yesterday.
