Lok Sabha Elections: Congress releases 20 candidates list, Pawan Bansal from Chandigarh

The Congress Central Election Committee on Tuesday night released 20 candidates for upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.4 from Gujarat, 3 from Jharkhand, 2 from Karnataka, 2 from Odisha, 1 from Himachal Pradesh, 1 from D&N Haveli, and 6 names from Punjab. Pawan Kumar Bansal to be Congress candidate from Chandigarh.

In Punjab, Congress has fielded Sunil Jakhar from Gurdaspur constituency, Santokh Singh Chaudhary from Jalandhar, Ravneet Singh Bittu from Ludhiana and Gurjit Singh Aujla will contest from Amritsar.

Former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay would contest from Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The party has fielded Pawan Kajal from Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.

“Congress Central Election Committee announces the next list of candidates for the ensuing elections to the Lok Sabha,” party tweeted.

Former Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has been re-nominated from Chandigarh. He had lost in 2014 to BJP’s Kirron Kher.
