The wife of Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, Apoorva Shukla was arrested for his murder, police said on Wednesday.
Apoorva was questioned for three days as the police investigated the death of Rohit Shekhar, the son of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister ND Tiwari.
Last week, the police said he was killed by being smothered with a pillow.
Shekhar’s wife Apoorva and his cousin Siddharth were at home, along with domestic helps at the time of his death.
Rohit Shekhar Tiwari fought a long battle in court to prove that he was ND Tiwari’s son. A DNA test confirmed and in 2014, the Delhi High Court declared ND Tiwari as his biological father.
