The police on Friday arrested a flatmate of Garima Mishra, a 25-year-old doctor who was found dead with her throat slit at her rented accommodation in Delhi’s Ranjit Nagar area.
The suspect Dr Chandra Prakash Verma, a resident of Uttar Pradesh was arrested from Uttarakhand’s Roorkee, police said.
Verma, a flatmate of deceased Garima Mishra had been missing since Tuesday night and CCTV footage obtained from the area showed him leaving the apartment with a backpack.
According to the sources, the deceased used to stay in a single room on the third floor of the apartment and the adjacent room was shared by two other male doctors.
Raids were conducted by police in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in search of the accused.
