Six people were killed and nine others injured when a van carrying them was hit by a vehicle in Payagpur area of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Monday.
The injured were taken to a hospital for further treatment.
According to the sources, the van was carrying 16 people when the incident happened.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condoled the deaths and directed the administration officials to ensure proper treatment to those injured in the accident, the chief minister’s office said.
