Two terrorists were killed on Thursday in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists in Hardshiva area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “So far 02 unidentified #terrorists killed. #Search #Operation going on. Further details shall follow.”
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation after receiving inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Chinar Corps-Indian Army said, “Op Hardshiva (#Sopore). Update. Two terrorists eliminated. 2 AK-47 recovered. Operation over.”
“Op Hardshiva (#Sopore). Joint Operation was launched today early morning on @JmuKmrPolice inputs. Cordon was laid & contact established. Firefight ensued. Joint Operation in progress,” Chinar Corps- Indian Army earlier tweeted.
