BJP President JP Nadda tests positive for COVID-19

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday tested positive for coronavirus. He urged everyone who came in contact with him recently to get themselves tested.

“On getting initial symptoms of coronavirus, I got myself tested and the report came back positive. Following doctors’ advice, I am following all Covid-19 protocol in home isolation. I appeal to those who came in contact with me in recent days to isolate themselves and get themselves tested,” Nadda tweeted.

Recently, Nadda visited West Bengal during which his convoy was attacked while he was on his way to the Diamond Harbour area.

Stones were hurled at the convoy of JP Nadda and party leader Kailash Vijayvargiya when they were heading towards Diamond Harbour area in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district.

Besides Nadda, a number of cars, including that of Kailash Vijayvargiya and Dilip Ghosh, were damaged in the attack.

The attack had triggered a massive political war of words between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
