The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) has issued a show-cause notice to 10 promoters (5 from Delhi – NCR and 5 from Lucknow) for violating the Act by continuing with the construction and promotions of their respective projects even after their registration got lapsed.
The notices were sent to Supertech Township Project Limited, Paramount Propbuild Pvt Ltd, Uppal Chadha Hi-Tech Developers Pvt. Ltd, Sunworld City Private Limited and ASG Developers Pvt Ltd in NCR and in Lucknow to Mayur Infrastructure, Unnishire Infrratech Private Limited, Homeland Real Estate Construction and Developers, Kamakshi Infradevelopers Private Limited and Pacific Habitats India Pvt Ltd.
UPRERA’s Technical Team inspected the Promoter’s project sites to find out the details.
Moreover, advertisements were given in the newspapers for creating awareness among Homebuyers.
As per the statement, this is the violation of section 3 of the Act, under section 59 the promoter will be liable to a penalty which may be upto 10 percent of the estimated cost of the project.
Before the notice was issued, all the promoters were given three months’ time for their course of action.
All the promoters have been asked to present with their justifications and documents on March 11 and 18 at UPRERA Headquarters, Lucknow.
