Coronavirus death toll rises to six in US

The death toll from coronavirus in the United States has risen to six as Washington state officials announced four new deaths.

The White House said, “President Donald Trump met with pharmaceutical companies that are actively working to develop the COVID-19 vaccine, discussing how the federal government can help accelerate their vaccine development.”

US Vice President Mike Pence said, “The White House Coronavirus Task Force has been working every single day to ensure the health, safety & well-being of the American people. Today, we made good progress in combatting the spread of the Coronavirus and added key members, @SeemaCMS and @SecWilkie, to the Task Force.”

Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Tunisia were among the countries reported their first confirmed coronavirus cases.

Over 80000 people across 58 countries have now been diagnosed with the infection.
