Primary schools across Uttar Pradesh have opened from today with strict Covid protocols.
Almost after a year, schools have reopened for Classes 1 to 5. However, strict guidelines have been issued by the state government to ensure the safety of the students.
The schools were opened after an order by the state government that asked for the use of face masks, sanitizers, and 50 percent attendance in one shift.
Classes will be in shifts and all necessary protocols including social distancing and proper sanitization of premises will have to be followed by schools.
Students will only be approved to attend classes after providing written consent from their parents or guardians, the government said.
Other classes have been open in the state for the past few months. Schools across the country remain closed for the last 1 year due to the covid -19 pandemic. Online education was provided since then when schools were closed due to the pandemic.
Many government primary schools across the state were reopening and teachers asked to ensure Covid protocols were pursued.
