Two terrorists surrender after encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama

Two terrorists surrendered on Saturday after an encounter broke out at Lelhar area of Pulwama, police said.

One terrorist who was injured in the clash and has been shifted to a hospital for further treatment, police said.

Both terrorists surrendered along with two AK-47 rifles.

Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “#LelharEncounterUpdate: Both #terrorists #surrendered along with 02 AK 47 rifles before senior officers of police & SFs. One #terrorist who was injured in #encounter has been shifted to hospital for medical treatment.” 

The encounter broke out on Friday night between security forces and terrorists. 

Security forces launched the operation following inputs about the presence of terrorists there.

“#Encounter has started at #Lelhar area of #Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” Police tweeted on Friday.

Chinar Corps-Indian Army earlier tweeted, “Op Lelhar, Pulwama. Joint operation was launched based on @JmuKmrPolice inputs today evening. Area was cordoned & contact was established.Firefight ensued. Joint operation in progress.”
