An encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening.
According to police officials, exchange of fire between Security forces and terrorists broke out after security forces launched a cordon and search operation in forest areas of Handwara, in the north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Terrorists open fire on security forces during the search operation. The exchange of fire was going on when last reports came in, the official said.
Meanwhile Bomb disposal squad timely detected and diffused an IED in Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir saving life and property.
