Prove order given to HAL or Quit, Rahul Gandhi gives ultimatum to Nirmala Sitharaman

Congress President Rahul Gandhi slammed Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman of lying about procurement orders worth Rs. 1 lakh crore for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited or HAL and demanded Sitharaman’s resignation.

Gandhi said, “When you tell one lie, you need to keep spinning out more lies, to cover up the first one. In her eagerness to defend the PM’s Rafale lie, the RM lied to Parliament. Tomorrow, RM must place before Parliament documents showing 1 Lakh crore of Govt orders to HAL. Or resign.”

Gandhi attached a report from a leading daily, which said HAL was “keenly awaiting the formalisation of orders adding up to Rs 1 lakh crore mentioned by Nirmala Sitharaman during the discussions in Parliament on Friday.”

Congress party said, “Defence Minister @nsitharaman lied in Parliament when she stated her govt. has given orders worth Rs 1 lakh crore to HAL. Not a single Rupee has been received by HAL, as not a single order has been signed.”

Senior party leader Randeep Surjewala said that defence minister’s lies has exposed.

“The Lying Defence Minister’s Lies Gets Exposed! Def Min claimed that procurement orders worth ₹1 Lakh Cr provided to HAL! HAL says Not a SINGLE PAISA has come, as Not a SINGLE ORDER has been signed! For the first time,HAL forced to take a loan of ₹1000 Cr to pay salaries!,” Surjewala tweeted.

Gandhi had earlier dismissed Sitharaman’s arguments defending the Rafale deal and accused her that she could not answer the two simple questions he asked her.
