Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday arrived at his parliamentary constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to express his thanks to the people as well as party workers after being elected as a Parliamentarian for a second term from the constituency. He paid obeisance at the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple.
He was received at the airport by BJP president Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath among others.
A large number of security, paramilitary and Special Protection Group personnel have been deployed at many places in the city.
Modi won the Lok Sabha elections by a huge margin of 4.79 lakh votes against SP candidate Shalini Yadav.
On Sunday Modi visited his home state Gujarat and took his mother’s blessings.
