Pakistan elections: At least 30 killed, several injured in bomb blast in Quetta

At least 30 people killed and several injured in an explosion near polling station in Quetta city, Pakistan, on Wednesday.

As per reports, two children and five policemen were among the dead and the death toll could rise as many of the injured are in a serious condition.

On Wednesday, Millions of people in Pakistan began voting in general polls to choose a new parliament and provincial assemblies in an election.

A two-way competition is seen between the parties led by jailed ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif and former cricketer Imran Khan.

Numerous applicants who belong to extremist and militant factional groups are also contesting the general elections in Pakistan.
