The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted raids at seven places in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore, officials said.
A fresh case of ISIS module was registered by NIA in Coimbatore.
The searches are being carried out in the places of persons who were allegedly in links via social media with the suspects in Sri Lanka terror attacks that killed about 250 people.
According to the reports, the raids are currently underway.
Last month a two-member NIA team visited Sri Lanka to coordinate with the Sri Lankan authorities in the investigation into the attacks.
The NIA had said that the visit to Colombo was to exchange information and evidence gathered.
The NIA has already raided multiple places in Tamil Nadu after a case was filed against eight people for allegedly supporting Islamic State (IS).
