Mumbai Sessions Court rejects Rhea Chakraborty’s bail application

The Mumbai Sessions Court on Friday rejected the bail application of Rhea Chakraborty in the drug case linked to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Bail pleas of Showik Chakraborty, Abdul Basit, Zaid Vilatra, Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda have also been rejected by the special sessions court today.

Yesterday the court reserved its order after hearing the bail plea filed by actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and others involved in the case.

After Rhea’s bail plea was rejected by the magistrate court, her lawyer filed a bail plea in the session court in Mumbai.

In her bail request, the 28-year-old actress stated that she is innocent and was falsely implicated in the case.

Rhea was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on Tuesday for her alleged involvement in the drugs case linked to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The NCB arrested Rhea Chakraborty after days of questioning. She was named as an accused in the CBI investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14.
