A married woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli registered a complaint with Jhinjhana police station against her husband for allegedly giving Triple Talaq after giving birth to a girl child and in-laws for demanding dowry and throwing her out of the house following the same.
“My husband and his family abused me and have asked to get a bike and money from my parents as I have given birth to a girl and not a boy child,” the victim said.
“Now, that I have given birth to a girl child, I have been kicked out of the house and have been asked to not entre house till I get Rs 50,000”.
“I have nowhere to go now” she said.
The victim also revealed that her husband had pressurized her for money earlier also. The family members and her husband often used to demand dowry from her and her family.
“We have received information from the Kairana police station. We have registered the case in the matter and the investigation is underway,” Shlok Kumar, Assistant Superintendent of Police, said.
The woman got married two years ago.
