JD(U) delegation meets President Kovind over special status to Bihar

In order to discuss special status to Bihar, a six-member delegation of Janata Dal (United) met President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 10.

JD(U) leader Ashok Chaudhary (former Bihar Congress unit chief who had switched to the JD-U) led the six-member delegation.

The President reacted positively to the discussion, said Chaudhary.

“We met Kovindji to sensitize him that why we are demanding Special status to Bihar,” he added.

Besides Chaudhary, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had also earlier demanded special status for his state.
