Indian and Pakistan armies on Friday exchanged heavy fire and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the official, Pakistan troops resorted to shelling and firing of small arms to target Indian military and civilian areas at 8 AM in Mankote, Krishna Ghati Sector.
The Indian army retaliated effectively. There was no report of any casualties so far, official added.
