Jammu and Kashmir confirms its first coronavirus case

A 63-year-old woman tested positive for coronavirus, making her the first confirmed case in Jammu and Kashmir and the 41st case in India, officials said on Monday.

The woman had a travel history to Iran.

She was among two patients who were declared high viral load cases by the administration on the weekend, sources said.

Earlier in a day, a three-year-old minor in Kerala has tested positive for coronavirus.

The child has a travelled history to Italy.

On Sunday, the health ministry confirmed five new cases of COVID-19 from Kerala.

Indian Government is keeping a close watch on the situation and a number of measures have been taken to contain the spread of COVID-19.
