S Jaishankar visits Kashmir, meets parents of students stranded in Iran

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Monday visited Srinagar and met with the family members of the students stranded in the coronavirus-hit Iran.

Jaishankar assured parents that the Ministry will do everything to help the students.

So far 194 Iran nationals who fell sick with the COVID-19 illness have passed away.

Government of India is keeping a close watch on the situation and a number of measures have been taken to contain the spread of COVID-19. Cabinet Secretary took the 16th review meeting on Sunday and the preparations to bring Indian citizens from Iran were elaborately discussed which are at an advance stage.
