Intruder forcefully rams car in to Farooq Abdullah’s residence in Jammu, shot dead

A man was gunned down by security personnel on Saturday, while he was trying to enter the residence of former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah in Jammu.

According to the reports a person travelling in a car breached the security barricade and attempted to enter the Bhatindi residence of Abdullah.

The forces positioned there shot the intruder dead, but an on-duty officer also got injured in the accident.

“I am aware of the incident that took place at the residence my father & I share in Bhatindi, Jammu. Details are sketchy at the moment. Initial reports suggest an intruder was able to gain entry through the front door & in to the upper lobby of the house,” said Omar Abdullah on Twitter.

“Further details are awaited as the security personnel carry out the anti-sabotage checks & ascertain the background of the person who was able to force his way in to the house”, said Abdullah in another tweet.
