India has registered 52,972 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The total tally of COVID-19 infections in the country now stands at 18,03,696.
A total of 38,135 coronavirus patients have lost their lives.
There are 5,79,357 active cases while 11,86,203 people have been cured/discharged.
The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients stands at 65.77%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Monday said a total of 2,02,02,858 samples have been tested up to August 2 of which 3,81,027 samples were tested yesterday.
