With 18,645 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 201 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,04,50,284 while the death toll rose to 1,50,999, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 1,00,75,950 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,23,335 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.42%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 18.10 crore samples have been tested up to January 9 of which 8,43,307 samples were tested yesterday.
