India’s COVID-19 cases rise to 3,32,424, Death toll at 9,520

India’s COVID-19 cases rose to 3,32,424 as it recorded 11,502 fresh infections in last 24 hours. A total of 9,520 coronavirus patients have lost their lives, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday.

There are 1,53,106 active cases while 1,69,797 have been cured/discharged, according to Health Ministry data.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,07,958 with 3,950 fatalities.

Tamil Nadu continues to be the second-worst hit state with 44,661 Covid-19 cases and 435 deaths, followed by Delhi with 41,182 cases and 1,327 deaths, Gujarat – 23,544 cases and 1,477 fatalities.

A total of 57,74,133 samples have been tested as on June 15 of which 1,15,519 samples have been tested in last 24 hours, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.
