With 18,088 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 264 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,03,74,932 while the death toll rose to 1,50,114, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 99,97,272 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,27,546 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.36%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 17.74 crore samples have been tested up to January 5 of which 9,31,408 samples were tested yesterday.
