Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur tests positive for coronavirus

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Monday said that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Thakur said he had quarantined himself at his residence last week after coming in contact with a corona positive person but got himself tested for the virus after developing some influenza-like symptoms.

“A few days ago, due to in contact with a corona positive person, I was quarantined at my residence for the past one week, due to some symptoms of corona from last two days, I got a Covid-19 test done today, which has been reported positive On doctor’s advice, I have isolated myself at my official residence,” the Chief Minister tweeted.

Thakur is the latest in the line of politicians who have tested positive for the virus in the past few months.
