Goa has reported its first death due to COVID-19 as an 85-year-old woman lost the battle to coronavirus.
“An 85-year-old woman from Morlem who was diagnosed positive for the infection has died at a hospital,” Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said.
According to Health Ministry data, there are 625 active cases in Goa.
India’s COVID-19 cases has crossed the 4 lakh-mark. The Health Ministry on Sunday said that the recovery rate has improved to 55.48 per cent as the number of recoveries stood at 2,27,756 across the country.
