With the resumption of service on the Airport Express Line, Delhi Metro on Saturday resumed operations on all routes. All Metros will run from 6 am to 11 pm.
“With the resumption of service on the Airport Express Line, all lines of the Delhi Metro network are now open! Remember to follow the guidelines when travelling. #MetroBackOnTrack, ” Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted.
Delhi Metro started to resume operations from Sept 7 in a graded manner after a period of 169 days in view of COVID-19 pandemic.
DMRC is taking strict safety measures at stations and inside the metro trains.
Barricades have been installed at the entrance gates and police force has been deployed outside the metro stations for crowd management.
The “Do not sit here” stickers have also been fixed on alternate seats to maintain social distancing inside the metros.
Only the use of a Smart card is allowed to enter the metro stations.
The temperature of the passengers are being checked at the entrance gates and also it is being ensured that everyone passenger has installed Aarogya Setu app. The facility of Sanitisers and masks are also being provided at the stations.
