A Delhi court on Friday held former bureaucrat HC Gupta guilty of corruption and criminal conspiracy in a coal scam case.
The court also convicted five others in a case related to alleged irregularities in the allocation of the coal blocks in West Bengal.
The court held all of them guilty of criminal conspiracy and took them into custody. The Court has fixed December 3 for hearing arguments on the quantum of punishment.
The case relates to alleged irregularities in allocation of Moira and Madhujore (North and South) coal blocks in West Bengal to Vikas Metal Power Ltd (VMPL).
