Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launches door-to-door campaign ahead of 2019 polls

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday launched the party’s door-to-door campaign to seek votes and persuade people of national capital to donate to the party fund for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in the national capital.

The four-month long campaign will see 3,000 teams of AAP volunteers visit each household in the national capital to highlight the work done by the Delhi government and approach every voter, besides pointing out the failures of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government and the previous Congress regimes in the state.

“The party will endeavour to convince the voters to support AAP by explaining them the achievements of the party government especially in the sectors of health, education, water and electricity that has brought revolutionary changes in the city which never happened in the past 70 years,” CM Kejriwal said.

Talking about party’s donation drive titled “Aap ka Daan, Rashtra ka Nirmaan”, CM Kejriwal said, “they would urge the people of national capital to contribute to the party fund and help them in running the election campaign successfully.”
