Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra rise to 19

The number of infected cases in Maharashtra has gone up to 19, with two more persons tested positive for coronavirus in the state, a health department official said on Saturday.

According to an official, one of the two new patients is from Ahmednagar city and other from Mumbai.

The Ahmednagar patient had recently returned from Dubai and shown symptoms similar to coronavirus infection, the official added.

Maharashtra government had on Friday ordered closure of all movie theatres, gymnasiums, swimming pools and public gardens in cities of Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad till March 30.

The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India rose to 83, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday.
