The cold wave condition is expected to continue in parts of North India including Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh for the next few days.
According to the Regional meteorological department, “Christmas and the following four to five days, the region will experience more cold days. The visibility will remain low due to fog and low sunlight.”
Since the past few days, the cold wave is sweeping across the whole North India, Hilly areas have experienced moderate to heavy snowfall, whereas low lying areas are under an intense cold wave.
As per IMD, the condition is expected to continue till January 15, 2020.
