CM Arvind Kejriwal says local transmission under control in Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that corona’s local transmission is under control in the national capital. “As per the reports we are not in the stage of community transmission,” he added.

“We have analysed 97 cases including 24 cases from Markaz, 41 foreign travellers, 22 close relatives of foreign travellers. The situation is under control, there is no community transmission,” the chief minister said.

He requested to all religious leaders and people to not to organise any gatherings and cooperate with the Government.

Earlier in the day, Health Minister Satyendar Jain said 24 people who were present at the Markaz building in Delhi’s Nizamuddin have tested positive for coronavirus.

Kejriwal said, “Till now 1,548 people have been brought out of Markaz, 441 of them were symptomatic. We have shifted them to hospitals and their tests are being conducted. 1,107 who did not show symptoms have been sent to quarantine.”

“Out of total 89 corona patients in our hospitals, only one is on ventilator, two on oxygen and rest safe and recovering,” he said.

“I pray for everyone’s fast recovery and good health,” said Kejriwal.
